Thom Duncan, Principal

After his first career as a commercial photographer in New York, Boston and Chicago, Thom blended his love of language with his design sensibility to become a magazine designer and editor, working on such hit titles as "Greenhouse Business" and, well, you get the picture.

Those experiences led to Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, where Thom became senior director of marketing and communications. There, he grew a creative team of three to 16 writers and designers, producing nearly 200 print and digital publications annually.

In 2013 Thom joined a startup technology education company, Mobile Makers Academy, as director of engagement. From brand messaging to Google analytics and everything in between, Thom was the company's full-service digital agency of one. That prepared Thom for his current path: helping small- and medium-size businesses and educational institutions define and share their brand story.

Thom has a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in English literature and minored in fine arts and photography. He holds a certificate in general management from Kellogg’s Executive Education Program.
